Terms of service · effective 4 September 2026

Plain terms for an early product.

These terms govern the use of the website at tryripcord.com and the Ripcord application at app.tryripcord.com (the Service), operated by Ripcord (the company being formed by Jeremy Hazan; the legal entity will be named here once incorporated). By using the Service you agree to them. Customers under a signed agreement are governed by that agreement where it differs.

What the Service is

Ripcord sits between AI agents and the systems they act on. It records each action, assigns it a risk verdict, holds risky actions for a person's decision, and keeps a tamper-evident ledger. It is a control and a record. It is not a guarantee that an agent will never take a harmful action, and it does not replace your own review of what your agents may do.

Your account and workspace

  • You must be entitled to act for the organization whose email domain you sign in with.
  • You are responsible for the people you give roles to in your workspace, for the rules you set, and for the decisions your approvers take.
  • Gateway keys identify your agents to the Service. Keep them like any credential and revoke them if exposed.

Your systems, your credentials

The Ripcord gateway runs in your environment and holds your systems' credentials there. We never receive them. You are responsible for the gateway's configuration, for the servers you connect behind it, and for the actions those servers perform when Ripcord releases an action.

Acceptable use

Do not use the Service to break the law, to attack systems you are not authorized to act on, or to interfere with the Service or other customers. Do not try to defeat the ledger, the holds or the data rules. We may suspend a workspace that does.

Early access

The Service is early. Features change, and some are marked as roadmap on the site. We aim for high availability and will tell you about incidents, and we make no uptime commitment outside a signed agreement.

Fees

Prices are published on the pricing page. Early-access workspaces may be free for an agreed period. Fees are payable as stated at the time of signature; there are no hidden charges.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided as is, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid for the Service in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for actions your agents take through systems the gateway did not gate. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending

You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your workspace at any time. We can end the Service for a workspace with thirty days' notice, or immediately for a breach of these terms. Sections about liability and the ledger survive.

Law and changes

Until incorporation is complete these terms are governed by the law of the place of incorporation named on this page once available; disputes go to the courts there. When these terms change we update the date at the top and notify signed-in users of material changes.
